A few hints if you’re painting this winter…
If you decide to tackle the living room or kitchen with a can of paint, let us give you a few hints to make life a little easier with a paintbrush…
Go to the top.
If you start at eye- 
level or at the bottom and work up, you’ll get streaks. Get the ladder out first and begin painting at the top and work your way down.
If you pay for cheap paint, you’ll get cheap-paint results. It’s better to go for the quality paints that will give you a more uniform look as well as stand up to marks and smudges. You’ll be thankful when you can take a cloth to those smears with an easy cleanup. Cheaper paints don’t have the durability.
Better yet, save your back and get a good overview of your work – get a pole. Rather than bending over to fill your brush and stretching to get a spot, mount your roller on an extension pole. You can see where you need to touch-up and your back will be thankful for the relief.
