Painting with a Purpose Mission Statement

Through our Painting with a Purpose initiative, our mission is to give back to the community year-round by using the power of paint to uplift and transform spaces that matter. Through our gift of paint projects, we aim to bring new life to local areas, expressing our gratitude and commitment to those who have supported us.

PAINTING WITH A PURPOSE 2025

At McLain’s Painting Service, we consider it a real gift to be able to live, work, and paint here in Knoxville. That’s why we give back just as often as we can, using our skills to share our gratitude in a tangible way.

 

That’s the heart behind Painting with a Purpose, our annual initiative where we step away from “business as usual” and donate services to a local nonprofit in Knoxville. And this summer, we had the absolute joy of painting for Childhelp.


Childhelp is a nonprofit that works tirelessly to support children in need, offering advocacy, counseling, and safe spaces. They deal with some of the hardest realities kids can face, and they do it with compassion, determination, and heart.


So when the community nominated Childhelp and our team cast the final vote, the decision was unanimous: this was the place to pour our time, energy, and yes, gallons of paint.


A Closer Look At the Big Day!


The day itself? Pure energy. Volunteers showed up with smiles (and old clothes they wouldn’t mind sacrificing to the cause). Ladders went up, brushes went in, and before long, the building began to transform. More importantly, so did the atmosphere. There’s a kind of magic in watching a space, and the people within it, light up together.


This wasn’t just another job. It was a chance to serve, to connect, and to be reminded why community matters.

More About Childhelp

Childhelp is a nonprofit that works tirelessly to support children in need, offering advocacy, counseling, and safe spaces. They deal with some of the hardest realities kids can face, and they do it with compassion, determination, and heart.

HOW DOES PAINTING WITH A PURPOSE WORK?

Our mission is to find a deserving charitable organization who could benefit from up to $10,000 of our painting services, supplied at no cost. Our team is ready to get to work, but we need your help deciding who could most benefit from this giveaway - please nominate a deserving non-profit organization, church, or 501c3 during our nomination window.


HOW CAN YOU GET INVOLVED?

There are a few ways you can participate:

  • Nominate an organization during our nomination window
  • Volunteer to help with the project
  • Donate to the project
